Terms of Service.

Beta Test Your Vibes (“BTYV”, “we”) is a marketplace operated by Christchurch Web Solutions Ltd, registered in the UK. We connect indie makers with testers who review their products, deliver structured feedback, and — depending on the request — get paid, comped with perks, or thanked publicly.

We are not a party to the agreement between a maker and a tester. We facilitate matching, hold funds in escrow for paid requests, and provide structured tools (NDA templates, feedback templates, ratings). The actual test and the obligations arising from it are between the maker and the tester.

You must be 18 or older to use BTYV as a maker or tester. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access — contact details below.

Don't post beta requests for anything illegal, harmful, or intentionally deceptive. Don't submit fake or low-effort feedback. Don't share access credentials you received under an NDA. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

When a maker marks a request as NDA-required, testers accept the platform-default NDA plus any additions the maker has made at that time. The full text is snapshotted onto the tester's application at the moment of acceptance — that snapshot is the agreement that applies, even if the template text is later updated.

Paid requests are funded into escrow at the moment the maker accepts an applicant and released to the tester on approval. BTYV collects a platform fee, disclosed before funding. Disputed sessions are held until we resolve them.

Ratings reflect individual testers' and makers' opinions of each session. A maker's private rating of a tester is not shown publicly; it contributes to aggregate reputation scoring. A tester's rating of a maker is shown on the maker's public profile.

If you believe a session was handled in bad faith, raise a dispute through the in-app flow. We arbitrate disputes ourselves until we have automated resolution. Outcomes may include releasing funds to the tester, refunding the maker, or splitting. Our decision on a dispute is final for the session.

Testers are responsible for reporting and paying tax on any income they receive through BTYV. Makers are responsible for any VAT or sales tax applicable to their projects. We may be required to issue tax forms (e.g. 1099-equivalents) to testers who cross reporting thresholds.

You can close your account any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Obligations under signed NDAs survive account closure.

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be notified by email. Continued use of BTYV after an update means you accept the new terms.
